Hi Everyone,

 Happy New Year to you all. I hope this year is a good one for us all with good health and loads of prosperity.

            We have lots of ideas and events already organised for you to be involved in for this year.

             Classes begin the first week in February when the children return to school. The schedules is chock-a-block with Teresa and I bringing you lots of great new classes in addition to some good old favourites.

             The ever popular 5 Quick Card classes continue on the first Monday night of every month with a different theme each month. We have set the topics for the entire year for this class so if you are interested, my advice would be to get your name down as many are already full! We do run a wait list so it’s still worth while in case of a cancellation.

             The card map classes have attracted a following also. These are Saturday classes and a different map or recipe is taught each month. Samples of previous maps are up in the hop if you need an idea of what goes on.

             We have a class to suit just about every style from elegant to arty and many themed and technique based classes. Samples will be up soon if they aren’t already. As always, booking and deposits are essential. Please don’t forget that we can organise a class time to suit a group if our times don’t suit you. Children’s birthday parties are also available.

             One event we are very excited to bring you is our Workshop Weekend. This takes place over the long weekend in March so you still have the Monday off to recover!

Eleven one hour classes will be held over the Saturday and Sunday. You can book them all or just one, it’s your choice. If you book all the classes, you get one free and lunch is provided on both days.

Places are limited so please get in early to avoid disappointment.

What’s New?

Cuttlebug – Wow! The latest release of embossing folders is fabulous. Many of the new designs are available in the larger format folders which allows you to emboss the entire front of your card or to work on a much larger piece. Most are in stock now with backorders being filled as stock becomes available.

Sizzix – Have also released a great range of embossing folder sets which can be used in the Cuttlebug as well as the Big Shot or the stunningly gorgeous Sizzix Boutique machine. This little machine looks like a handbag and is strictly for embossing. If this sounds like you, at half the price of a Cuttlebug (only $75) it may be worth a look. These are in stock now. We now have access to all Sizzix products so please give me a call if there is something you just have to have.

Stamps – New stamps by Judith, Stampendous, Hero Arts and Inkadinkadoo are on their way and stay tuned for new releases from StampIt, Penny Black, Autumn Leaves and many others who generally release their new designs at CHA which is on in the states right now.

The same applies to papers – new Bo Bunny and Fancy Pants are on their way with Kaiser, Making Memories, K&Co, Imaginesce and more soon to follow. The new Graphic 45 range – Under The Boardwalk – is in stock now and is gorgeous.

We have some beautiful new laces and braids in stock now as well as a never ending array of flowers.

New Flowersoft Card Toppers and 3D Toppers as well as a good supply of flowersoft is in stock now.

If you haven’t been in the shop for a while, you won’t know about the fantastic new range of punches we now have available. These range in size from ½ inch to 3 inches and are very reasonably priced. Shapes include butterflies in all sizes, scallop circles, squares, hearts and flowers. Their action is very user-friendly and as such are well worth a look.

Copic Ciao markers are now available at the shop. We have decided to stock these fabulous pens and if the haste at which the first lot sold out is any indication, you are excited as well.These are just great for colouring all you diamontes, brads, stickers, acetate oh! and for colouring images as well. The second shipment is due in this week and at $6.50 per pen they are great value.

 Craft Essentials Magazine – Our 4th issues and stock of this very popular magazine is due this week. At only $5.00 per issue it is great value and it “flies out the door”. Please call to reserve your copy now. We also look forward to the introduction of the “Forever Friends” characters into Australia through the magazine with stickers,

 stamps and papers now becoming available. The stock we receive supports the projects found in the magazine and with more Aussie content being involved, the projects continue to get better and better.

You will use Viva La Flora photo chips and tinting, distressing and embossing to create a beautiful and unique set of cards.

Trees are in. We will use stamps, papers, bling and more for a distinctly different group of cards.
