Hi all,
Happy New Year!
I know it’s hard to believe that already a month has gone and as you prepare for the children to return to school, I hope you also are preparing some ME time for yourselves. Welcome to 2012 and another exciting year ahead with the Little Bits’ team.
Teresa and I have prepared a class schedule which will keep you all busy and inspired. We have included all your favourite monthly classes like Maps, Card Trends, Colour Palette, Creative Card and 5 Quick Cards., revamped the Stamp of the Month to “Stamped 5 Ways” and added a monthly Scrapbook class (on a Wednesday evening), Technique of the Month, Copic Project and Handmade Books. But wait, there’s more! Don’t forget the FREE Make and Takes and take note of the vast array of other themed classes on offer.
Please have a look at the class descriptions for more details and as always call us if you have any queries. Most classes are stand alone and don’t require any previous experience but check with us and we will advise you on suitability. Take advantage of our Thursday morning group if you are available and relieve the time pressure of night time classes. Don’t forget we can also accommodate your group at a time to suit you. Due to demand, please book classes early. A deposit is required to secure your booking.
Shows:
Dates have been released for the following shows in which we are participating. Please call for further information.
March 30th – April 1st – Paperific at the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds.
May 26th-27th – Picture to Page at Burwood.
June 23rd – 24th – Picture to Page at Pakenham.
August 31st – September 2nd – Paperific at the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds.
October 6th – 7th – Picture to Page at Burwood.
Teresa will be teaching classes at Picture to Page in May. Sadly for us she is teaching in New Zealand during the Paperific show in March so obviously won’t be available here. Further details about classes will appear later on the Picture to Page website.
I know some of these dates are a fair way in advance but it never hurts to have them in your diary. While you have your diary out, please note that the Free Make and Takes for March and May are one week earlier due to our attendance at the shows.
Nut Night:
Because we have our Stamp Camp during the Queen’s Birthday long weekend in June this year, our all nighter will be held on the Labour Day long weekend in March. Beginning at 6pm on Sunday 11th March and winding up at 7am on Monday the 12th March. $10.00 per head covers a cooked breakfast on the Monday morning. BYO dinner Sunday or take-away is available nearby. All night shopping is also available. Places are limited so please book early.
Buy, Swap & Sell:
Your opportunity to clean out and sell or swap your unwanted supplies is coming up on Saturday 24th March between 12:30pm and 3pm. Stalls are free but bookings are essential. Please contact me ASAP to organise your space. This is also a good place for you bargain hunters to pick up some goodies!
Classified Advertisement:
I have a customer who would like to sell her slice machine. It has never been out of the box and comes complete with the basic starter kit. The only reason for the sale is ill health. Call me if you are interested.
Stock:
As I am writing this newsletter, CHA, the huge hobby show is on in the USA. This show is where all the popular manufacturers release their new goodies for the first half of the year. We will have access to this new product almost immediately so stay tuned.
Most of our local manufacturers will have new catalogues for stamps out in time for Paperific in March so we will have them as soon as the stock is available.
We already have some great new stock in store. ASA are a relatively new company to us that have released some fabulous new stickers, buttons, embellishments and double-sided foam squares, which are amazing value at $2.00 each.
Kaisercraft continue to release new products monthly and January’s Lil’ Primrose range has been a huge hit. We will bring this new product to you as soon as it’s available. We are always on the look out for interesting new things to keep you inspired so it pays to keep in touch.
Speaking of being in touch, do you belong to our Yahoo group? If not, all you have to do is pop onto the home page of our website www.littlebits.com.au and click on the Yahoo button. Weekly emails keep you informed of sales and other happenings in the shop. We try not to bombard you with emails but it is a great way to keep you up to date. You can now also follow us on Facebook.
A huge thank you to you all for the fabulous Christmas cards that we received. You can have a look and see how clever you are on our website gallery. Your talent shows us how much your enjoy your craft and what a good job we are doing at inspiring you and keeping you up to date with new ideas and techniques!
I think that’s about it for now, so until next time, stay safe and healthy and keep on stamping.
Lesley and the girls.
